CRUDE OIL PRODUCTION The Barto enterprises acquired its first oil production in 1979 in the West Newport Oil Field in Orange County, California. This was followed by significant acquisitions from Shell, Mobil, Arco, Oryx and Texaco during the 1980's and 1990's in the Long Beach/Signal Hill Oilfileld. These expanding oil operations were consolidated under the corporate banner of Signal Hill Petroleum, Inc. Today Signal Hill Petroleum controls over 95% of the major Long Beach/Signal Hill Oil Field (almost one billion barrels of oil recovered to date) including the operation of three waterflood/enhanced recovery projects with annual production of over 1,000,000 barrels of oil. Signal Hill Petroleum specializes in operating oil wells in urban areas where residential and commercial neighbors are in close proximity. The Company is especially proud of its track record and reputation as a safe and environmentally friendly operator and neighbor. The daily operation of Signal Hill Petroleum, Inc. is overseen by Vice President David Slater, a registered petroleum engineer with over 25 years experience in petroleum exploration, drilling and production.

  • Signal Hill Petroleum, Inc. owns and operate 95% of wells in the “giant” Long Beach Oil Field (almost 1 Billion barrels of oil recovered to date).
  • They operate 3 waterflood secondary recovery projects.
  • They have an annual production of 1 million barrels of oil
