In 2009, Signal Hill Petroleum partnered with NodalSeismic to generate raw data on potential production areas underneath Long Beach and Signal Hill. Using 3D seismic technology specifically designed to work in dense urban environments, snapshots of the local Earth's subsurface were taken over 38 square miles of land in Southern Los Angeles County.

Geologists and engineers on our reservoir management and exploration teams actively use these crucial seismic pictures in their daily practices and combine it with data from the past for a living history of the crust below.
